You've Opened Escrow. Now What?
Information for Sellers
The escrow process can be smooth as silk by following these tips:
- Prepare for home inspection and any other inspections the buyer schedules (such as roof, chimney, mold, etc.)
Contact a Mover (if necessary)
Contact utility companies to disconnect service for your home
If your property is a rental property, prepare for the 3.33% sales tax at close of escrow
Promptly return all forms (such as disclosures, escrow instructions, etc.) to the parties who request them
Return all phone calls as quickly as possible
Call your real estate agent with any questions or concerns
